Jamaican reggae queen Etana has shaken the music world with explosive claims after her highly anticipated Good Vibes Festival was abruptly canceled.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024, at A.S.K, The Dome, was derailed in what Etana describes as a deliberate act of sabotage.

In a fiery post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Etana revealed that someone paid a significant amount of money to disrupt her show, ensuring it couldn’t proceed as planned.
“Someone paid big money to ensure the show tonight is sabotaged! I’m not happy, and let me be clear—I’m not showing up at Diamond Platnumz’s show! It’s all good!” she wrote.
The controversy deepened when Etana claimed her concert, which had been promoted for months, was targeted by an opposing event featuring Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
According to Etana, the rival concert initially announced a postponement but was suddenly rescheduled to coincide with her show, creating chaos.

“All of a sudden, I hear from the authorities that two events can’t happen in the SAME AREA. My show tonight cannot proceed. All this drama and politics for one woman? Why are you afraid of one show and one woman?” Etana questioned.
Clash with Furaha City Festival
Diamond Platnumz was headlining the Furaha City Festival, set for the same date and venue. While Etana’s show was blocked by authorities, Diamond’s event also faced hiccups.
Reports indicate he abruptly left the stage following a disagreement with Kenyan artist Willy Paul, who was scheduled to perform before him.

Ticket Refunds Pending
Etana assured fans that the promoters and sponsors would provide updates on ticket refunds, stating, “K24 and the event promoters will handle the refunds. There’s so much I could say, but I’ll leave it at that.”
Fans Left Disappointed
The double-booking and political drama have left Kenyan music fans frustrated, with many questioning the behind-the-scenes power plays that led to the fiasco.

As the dust settles, the saga serves as a reminder of the challenges artists face in the competitive entertainment industry.
