Diamond Platnumz shines at CAF Awards in Morocco, just days after disastrous Kenyan show!

Diamond Platnumz brought the house down at the 2024 Conference of African Federation (CAF) Awards, held on Monday, December 16, with a performance that electrified the crowd and reaffirmed his status as an international superstar.

The Tanzanian music icon, who recently made waves for his unexpected absence from Kenya’s highly anticipated Furaha City Festival, took the stage in Morocco to an enthusiastic reception that celebrated both his undeniable talent and Africa’s dynamic entertainment scene.

Dazzling fans with his high-octane performance, Diamond Platnumz commanded the stage in a sleek black outfit, accompanied by a crew of dancers dressed in eye-catching white.

The moment was pure magic, further cementing his reputation as one of the continent’s most celebrated performers. At 35, the singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur—also the CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label—showed the world why he’s a force to be reckoned with in global music.

This unforgettable appearance came just days after a controversial no-show at the Furaha City Festival in Kenya.

The absence sparked a wave of frustration among fans, prompting a statement from festival organizer, media personality Willis Raburu.

Despite the strong line-up of artists—featuring the likes of Zuchu, Rayvanny, Willy Paul, and Khaligraph Jones—Diamond’s no-show caused a stir.

The organizers explained that, despite their best efforts to accommodate his team, logistical challenges and unexpected demands led to the Bongo star’s absence.

While the organizers also addressed a minor security issue, they stressed that the event proceeded smoothly and with the utmost professionalism, underlining their commitment to providing a world-class experience for all artists involved.

But on December 16, all eyes were on Diamond Platnumz, as he took the spotlight at the CAF Awards, proving once again why he’s one of Africa’s brightest stars, beloved across the continent and beyond.
