A life transformed: Apostle Anselm Madubuko struggles to break free from Freemasonry

Nigerian Apostle Anselm Madubuko, the husband of Kenyan gospel singer Emmy Kosgei, recently opened up about his harrowing journey from the depths of Freemasonry to a life dedicated to Christ.

In a heartfelt interview, Madubuko revealed the powerful but painful struggle he faced, even after his salvation, to break free from the grip of the secret society he had been deeply embedded in for years.

Born into wealth and fame, Madubuko’s life was defined by power, prestige, and influence. At just 21, he became a Master Mason, rising quickly through the ranks of Freemasonry while leading a dangerous campus cult, “Pirates of Fraternity.”

But despite having everything the world could offer, he felt an overwhelming emptiness that no amount of fame or wealth could fill.

Madubuko’s transformation began when a young man, humble and unassuming, shared the gospel with him—revealing a peace that Madubuko had never known.

This encounter marked a pivotal moment in his life, eventually leading him to Christ. But even after his powerful spiritual experience, leaving Freemasonry proved to be a heart-wrenching battle.

His wealth, status, and influence within the brotherhood made it difficult to walk away, despite knowing he couldn’t serve both Christ and the secret society.

The emotional turning point came when Madubuko realized that to truly live for Christ, he had to let go of everything—his father’s disapproval, his wealth, and the powerful connections he had made within Freemasonry.

His decision to break free sparked not only a personal transformation but a ripple effect in his family, including his father, who later embraced Christianity as well.

Today, Madubuko uses his testimony to inspire others, proving that no matter how deep the ties, anyone willing to surrender their life to Christ can experience true transformation.

His journey from a feared cult leader to a devoted servant of God is a powerful reminder of the redemptive power of faith.

How Madubuko Met and Fell In Love with Kenyan Gospel Artist Emmy Kosgei

Nigerian preacher Anselm Madubuko never imagined he’d meet his future wife when he sat beside Emmy Kosgei at a church in Mombasa.

Captivated by her voice, he was told she was Kenya’s gospel queen, but at the time, Madubuko had no thoughts of remarrying after losing his wife in 2012.

However, his son planted the seed, and soon after, he felt a divine nudge: “I don’t give old men to kings. I bless kings with young women.”

Despite Emmy’s initial hesitation, they began talking, and when she confided in him about a troubled relationship, he gently encouraged her to find true love.

His words resonated, and after a breakup, Madubuko boldly asked for her hand in marriage during a trip to Kenya.

Though there was a 22-year age gap, their love blossomed, defying all odds. Eleven years later, they’re stronger than ever, united by faith, love, and destiny.
