The power of second chances: Size 8 and DJ Mo’s journey back to love

In a world where many relationships falter under pressure, gospel power couple Size 8 and DJ Mo have given us a raw, emotional, and ultimately redemptive reminder: sometimes love’s greatest strength is its ability to begin again.

After nearly a decade of marriage and two beautiful children, Linet Munyali—known to fans as Size 8 Reborn and her husband DJ Mo faced their most difficult season yet: a painful seven-month separation that tested the very foundation of their union.

But in a breathtaking turn of events, the Murayas recently reunited, stunning fans with a heartwarming white wedding ceremony, a symbol not just of renewed vows, but of deep healing and forgiveness.

Flanked by their children, Junior and Wambo, the ceremony was a celebration of grace, family, and the kind of love that refuses to give up.

Size 8and DJ MO: I Missed Him Deeply

Speaking in a soul-baring interview on This Friday With Betty (TV47), Size 8 opened up about the emotional rollercoaster that defined those long months apart.

“At some point, I missed him. I missed him so much, I won’t lie,” she confessed. “I missed who he was in the house… and who he was to the children.”

Her vulnerability was palpable. But even more moving was the way she described the impact on their daughter, Wambo, whose bond with her father runs profoundly deep.

“Wambo was really affected because her father is everything to her,” she revealed. “She can live without me but not without him. She didn’t understand everything, but she felt his absence… and it broke her.”

A Child’s Tears, A Mother’s Wake-Up Call

One moment stood out a heart-wrenching wake-up call no mother could ignore.

After a visit to see her dad, Wambo returned home quietly. The next day, her teacher called Size 8 from school, Wambo had broken down in tears.

The reason? She couldn’t understand why her dad was living in a different house.

“That moment crushed me,” Size 8 said. “I realized I had been selfish. In all the pain I was feeling, I hadn’t stopped to think about how it was affecting her. That was when I knew I had to fight for our family.”

A Mother’s Love, A Family’s Healing

Guided by her maternal instincts and deep faith, Size 8 chose reconciliation for her children, for her husband, and for herself.

Seeing the light return to her children’s eyes when their parents were under the same roof again was the confirmation she needed. The Murayas began their healing journey, hand in hand, choosing love over pride, unity over division.

During the interview, Size 8 also honored DJ Mo’s unwavering role as a father.

“Mo is a dad and a half,” she said warmly. “No matter what happened between us, his love and presence in the lives of our children never changed.”

A Testament of Grace

Their story is not one of perfection, but of redemption. Of choosing to repair rather than replace. Of leaning on God and each other when everything feels broken.

In a world quick to cancel, the Murayas have chosen to rebuild.
