In March 2024, 24-year-old Fancy Makadia excitedly announced her engagement to Fayrouz Vivian on social media, sharing a heartfelt message:
“Excited to start this new chapter with my soulmate 💕💕”
Her announcement sparked waves of joy, with fans celebrating the couple’s new journey together. However, Fancy also playfully teased those planning to marry in the coming year:
“To those of us getting married next year… Harusi tunayo hatuna?”
Akothee, her proud mother, couldn’t contain her excitement either, taking to her socials to share her joy at seeing her daughter embark on this new chapter of life. While she didn’t specify the dowry amount, Akothee made it clear that her daughter’s happiness was her top priority.
“My daughter Fancy Makadia just finished her Master’s and is now preparing for the next stage of her life. As a mother, there’s no greater joy than seeing your children happy. At no point will I allow my child to mistreat someone’s son,” she wrote, expressing both pride and love.
Describing herself as a protective mother, Akothee added, “I am a loving, considerate mother. I expect the man who marries my daughter to take care of her, love her, and protect her.”
When Fancy Makadia asked her mother how many cows the groom should bring or what she wanted in dowry, Akothee’s response was heartwarming:

However, the year hasn’t been without its challenges. Akothee shared a photo of her son Oyoo in a hospital bed, revealing the difficulties 2024 had brought. “This year has been tough, not just for me but for many. My son Oyoo has had two surgeries this year, and 2024 has shown me what true strength looks like.
Adding, “Watching your child confined to a wheelchair hits deep, reaching the core of your being. Be kind to others—you never know what battles people are fighting behind the cameras. Get well soon, Oyoo. Daktari!”
Fancy Makadia, Akothee’s youngest daughter, was born after Vesha and Rue Baby. Based in France, Fancy is the daughter of Akothee and her ex-husband Jared Okello, who is also the father of Akothee’s two other girls.
