Award-winning Kenyan music star Bien-Aimé Baraza has left hearts heavy across Tanzania after announcing the postponement of the highly anticipated Alusa Continua tour, which was set to bring his soulful sound to Arusha, Dar es Salaam, and Mwanza this August.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Bien expressed deep sorrow, citing unforeseen complications with local event organizers, whose lack of coordination forced the difficult decision.
“Tunasikitika. We were truly looking forward to this,” Bien wrote. “But despite our persistent efforts to finalize plans, we’ve been met with silence. We have no choice but to pause the Tanzanian leg of the tour.”

The news hit hard for Tanzanian fans, many of whom had eagerly awaited the chance to witness Bien perform live—a new chapter in his solo journey following global acclaim with Sauti Sol.
“Tanzania holds a special place in my heart,” Bien added. “It hurts to delay what would’ve been nights of music, connection, and pure magic.”
The Alusa Continua tour has already captivated audiences with its powerful blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and acoustic storytelling—music that speaks to both pain and healing, rhythm and reflection. Its Tanzanian stop was among the most anticipated on the calendar.

While the announcement stirred waves of disappointment, Bien was clear: this isn’t goodbye.
“This is not a cancellation. It’s a pause,” he assured. “When we come back, it will be with even more love, more music, and memories that will last a lifetime.”
As fans took to social media to share both heartbreak and understanding, Bien closed his message with deep gratitude—for their patience, loyalty, and unwavering support.
“We feel your love. And we’re not letting go of Tanzania. We’ll be back soon—stronger, louder, and more ready than ever.”
