In a moving social media post, DJ Kezz shared the raw truth behind her decision, writing:

“My walk with God didn’t begin in church, and it didn’t end there… I’ve been on a spiritual journey for years—asking hard questions, loving Jesus, studying faiths, and letting God speak in unexpected places. My choice to follow the Islamic path isn’t sudden. It’s sacred. It’s honest. It’s mine.”

Known for her unwavering presence in Kenya’s gospel music scene, DJ Kezz made it clear: this transformation wasn’t rebellion—it was revelation. Years of inner wrestling, seeking truth, and listening to God’s whisper beyond religion’s borders led her here.

“I honour where I’ve been, and I honour where I’m going,” she continued. “Faith isn’t a label. It’s a journey. And I still answer. Alhamdulillah.”

But with courage came boundaries. DJ Kezz warned against any form of spiritual policing, making it clear her soul was no longer up for debate.

“My page is no longer open to hate, trolling, religious shaming, or moral superiority. My life is not your battleground, and my peace is not up for negotiation.”

Her bold step reminds us that faith isn’t always linear—and sometimes, it leads us where love and truth meet in unexpected ways.
