Furaha City Festival: Diamond Platnumz’s team’s behavior was excessively overbearing

Willis Raburu, the chief organizer of the Furaha City Festival, has addressed the controversy surrounding Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz’s absence from the event. The highly anticipated festival faced an unexpected setback when Diamond Platnumz failed to perform as scheduled.

The organizers expressed deep regret over the situation, attributing the disruption to challenges arising from the behavior of the artist’s team.

Despite the absence of Diamond Platnumz, the festival went on to feature a remarkable lineup of performances.

Kenyan artists showcased their exceptional talent, energy, and professionalism, while Tanzanian artists Zuchu and Rayvanny delivered electrifying performances, receiving praise for their dedication to entertaining the audience.

While recognizing Diamond Platnumz’s status as a top-tier artist, the organizers emphasized the importance of mutual professionalism and respect in such collaborations.

However, they described the team’s demands and behavior as overbearing and unnecessary. “Despite our best efforts, their conduct made it impossible to proceed as planned,” the statement read.

While acknowledging a minor security issue involving another artist (without naming Willy Paul), the festival organizers assured fans that it was swiftly resolved to maintain safety and professionalism.

They reaffirmed their commitment to treating all artists equally and upholding the highest standards.
