Renowned Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has been hospitalized, leaving fans and the music community deeply concerned.
The Leone Island Music Empire boss was rushed to a medical facility on December 12 after falling critically ill.
A video circulating online shows the visibly distressed artist being escorted into the hospital by his manager, his frailty evident as he was transported on a stretcher.
This alarming incident has reignited fears about his health, which has been a subject of concern since 2023, when the celebrated musician battled a prolonged and serious illness that left him bedridden for weeks.
In 2023, Chameleone was hospitalized in the United States while attending his son’s graduation.
Previously, Chameleone was admitted at a facility in Kampala where his wife, Daniella Atim, revealed he was battling Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori).
At the time, his father, Gerald Mayanja, disclosed that the iconic artist had been grappling with recurring stomach complications.
After weeks of treatment, Chameleone recovered and triumphantly returned to his music career, resuming his energetic performances.
However, this latest health scare has reignited concerns among fans and well-wishers, leaving many anxious about his condition.
