Let ger go, bro: Harmonize sparks drama, claims Diamond Platnumz Married Zuchu to keep her under control

Tanzanian music star Harmonize has once again reignited his bitter feud with former mentor Diamond Platnumz, this time taking aim at Diamond’s highly publicized marriage to singer Zuchu.

In a cryptic but pointed Instagram Stories post on June 2, 2025, Harmonize implied that the much-discussed wedding was less about love and more about control. According to him, Diamond’s union with Zuchu, a signee under his WCB Wasafi label, was not born out of genuine affection but rather a strategic move to keep her tethered to the label.

Kama shida ni ndoa mbona nilimuoa’. Sio kama mnavyo dhani. Funny guy, let her go you. Been serious to her bro. Pretended to marry her so she can stay under the label,” Harmonize wrote.

While the grammar may have been broken, the message was loud and clear: Diamond, let Zuchu go.

The post was accompanied by a photo of rapper 50 Cent standing on the staircase of a private jet, holding a drink, a visual many took as a metaphor for power, wealth, and calculated moves.

Harmonize’s bold claims came just hours after photos and videos of Diamond and Zuchu’s traditional wedding ceremony went viral, leaving fans stunned and skeptical in equal measure. While some celebrated the apparent love story, others stirred by Harmonize’s accusations began to question the authenticity of the union.

A Feud That Won’t Die

Harmonize, who dramatically exited Wasafi Records in 2019 after a public fallout with Diamond, has since charted his own path with Konde Gang. But the scars of their split still linger.

His latest outburst is only the latest in a series of jabs and veiled shade thrown between the two stars over the years.

Their deteriorating relationship has, over time, mirrored wider cracks within Wasafi itself. Artists like Rayvanny, Mbosso, and Lava Lava have all left the label, painting a picture of internal tensions behind the glitz and glamour.

Diamond Responds to Harmonize with Silence and Subtlety

In response to the wedding buzz and possibly Harmonize’s remarks, Diamond took to Instagram with a deeply reflective caption. Alongside footage of the ceremony, he wrote: “I’ve learned to let go and trust that higher forces fight my battles.”

He spoke of maturity, choosing silence over confrontation, and claimed that staying quiet amid public speculation takes strength.

But then came a bombshell: “Everyone has their own ideas about me and marriage, but I’ve been married before and I’ll share that story one day.”

The revelation sent shockwaves through his fanbase, who have long followed his high-profile relationships with Wema Sepetu, Hamisa Mobetto, Zari Hassan, Tanasha Donna, and now, Zuchu.

A PR Stunt or Real Love?

Harmonize’s allegations have divided fans across social media. While some praised Diamond for his introspective stance, others echoed Harmonize’s doubt, suspecting the wedding was nothing more than a calculated publicity stunt to maintain control over Zuchu’s career.

“Be serious to her, bro,” Harmonize urged not just as a critic, but as someone who clearly sees through the pageantry.

The drama continues to unravel not just between two of East Africa’s biggest music icons but within the very fabric of an industry that, for all its rhythm and romance, may be hiding a darker rhythm of manipulation and control.
