Moji Shortbabaa and Nyawira Gachugi joyfully announce first pregnancy: “Tumekubali Yesu unatujali”

Gospel musician Moji Shortbabaa and his wife Nyawira Gachugi have joyfully revealed they are expecting their first child, over four years since saying “I do.”

The heartwarming announcement, made via social media, has stirred emotions among fans and fellow celebrities, who’ve followed the couple’s quiet yet inspiring journey of love, patience, and faith.

A Blessing Unveiled

Sharing a glowing photo of themselves, Nyawira and Moji wrote in a joint statement:

“The blessings of God are amazing. They serve as a reminder that He is concerned about what we pray for, even the prayers made in silence. We are so honored to be trusted by God to carry this blessing. Tumekubali Yesu Unatujali. #GoodNyaMu”

The announcement was accompanied by a touching video set to Moji’s own worship anthem “Unanijali.” Dressed in a sleek white midi-dress, Nyawira stood beside her husband—who wore a light-colored jacket over a white top—as they radiated quiet joy, holding onto a miracle they had waited for.

A Journey Rooted in Trust

Married in May 2021 in an intimate ceremony at Sovereign Suites, the couple had long maintained a private and intentional path. While fans and tabloids speculated over the years, Moji and Nyawira remained grounded in their beliefs.

In an earlier interview with Radio 47, Moji addressed the public curiosity:

“From my family, there is no pressure… My grandmother doesn’t have pressure; the pressure is only out there from people who talk about their stuff… People can give anyone as much pressure as they want.”

He shared that they had chosen to focus on nurturing their relationship and individual growth before expanding their family.

“We haven’t decided, but you know a child is a blessing from God. Whether you plan it or not, when their time comes, they’ll just come.”

Now, that moment has come. And it speaks not just of a pregnancy—but of answered prayers, quiet resilience, and unwavering faith.

As Nyawira beautifully put it: “Even the prayers made in silence.”
