Musician-cum-Pastor Peter Mwangi, famously known as Miracle Baby, has confirmed the end of his relationship with vernacular artist and digital content creator Carol Katrue.
The news, which broke late Friday night, came as a shock to their fans, who had closely followed the highs and lows of their turbulent yet enduring journey together.

In separate posts on social media, the former couple made their split public. Miracle Baby took to Instagram to make it clear that he is no longer associated with Katrue, either personally or professionally.
“For anyone who was calling me to book for Carol Katrue, we are no longer together!!! Thank you,” Miracle Baby wrote, confirming the split.

Similarly, Katrue declared her single status, informing her followers that she is now handling her bookings independently.
“Single!!! For bookings DM me kindly, am not working with anyone or under anyone,” she posted, signaling a new chapter in her life.
Shocking Turn of Events
The breakup has stunned fans, especially given the challenges the couple had faced together. Notably, Katrue was a strong pillar for Miracle Baby during his battle with a life-threatening stomach condition earlier this year.
From January to March 2024, Miracle Baby was hospitalized multiple times due to a ruptured intestine. He underwent at least four surgeries to address the condition.

During this difficult time, Katrue rallied Kenyans to support him, urging contributions to help with his medical bills, which had reached millions of shillings.
Now, just months after overcoming such a tough chapter together, their separation has left fans confused and heartbroken.

A 3-Year Journey
Miracle Baby and Katrue had been together for at least three years and shared a child born on February 18, 2023. Miracle Baby, however, has four other children from different women.
Before their breakup, Katrue had expressed her willingness to have more children with Miracle Baby, even aiming to help him achieve his dream of fathering 17 children. “Ntakuzalia mpaka washangae @petermiraclebaby,” she had posted in June 2023 on Instagram.

Miracle Baby’s Vision of a Large Family
The musician’s vision of having a large family is not new and has been a recurring theme in his public interviews.
In an October 2020 interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva on Mambo Mseto, Miracle Baby spoke openly about his goal of having 17 children. At that time, he had already fathered four children with different women.

He also shared the emotional story of one of his children, who had been abandoned at his doorstep in a basin. “Niko na watoto wanne, but mmoja nilimpata hapa nje kejani kwangu akiwa ametupwa. Alikuwa ametupwa hapa nje na karai so nikahave kumchukua.
Additionally, “Nampenda tu kama mtoto wangu but kuna venye tunafanana, sijui kama kuna place nilienda na siambiwi,” he revealed.

When asked why he didn’t just settle down with one woman, Miracle Baby explained that his desire to have 17 children made it impossible to do so with just one partner.
“Sahi ni ngori coz natakanga watoi 17 ama 16. Hakuna mwenye anakubali ati alete wote duniani wakiwa wote,” he said, confirming that his dream of a large family was his top priority.

Peter Miracle Baby’s Journey
Peter Miracle Baby began his career as a Kikuyu stand-up comedian, taking on various jobs along the way, including working as a mortuary attendant, before eventually finding success in the music industry.
He gained widespread fame as a member of the Sailors Gang, known for their hit song “Wamlambez,” though he eventually faced conflicts with the group’s management team.

In February 2024, after a period of personal recovery, Miracle Baby announced a major life change: he decided to leave secular music behind.
In May 2024, he was officially ordained as a pastor, dedicating his life to spreading the word of God.
