Lion Deh, beloved Radio Jambo presenter, is mourning the devastating loss of his young son, who tragically passed away on January 8, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., surrounded by his loving family.
In an emotional interview, Lion Deh revealed that his son’s life was cut short after a tragic fall in their living room.
What seemed like an innocent moment of play turned into a nightmare when the boy fell from a sofa, sustaining a critical head injury that led to severe brain trauma and internal bleeding.
“He fell from the living room sofa while playing inside the house, injured his head, and started convulsing.“
Rushed to a nearby hospital, the boy underwent a grueling three-hour emergency surgery. Despite doctors’ best efforts and a brief glimmer of hope, his condition worsened.
“He was rushed for a three-hour surgery, which was successful.”
Admitted to the ICU, the swelling in his brain became too severe. “Due to the nature of the injury, the brain had suffered and started swelling. Medics hoped the swelling would stop, but it was too severe.“
After days of fighting, the young boy was declared brain-dead, sustaining his life through machines. leaving his family to make the unbearable decision to say goodbye.

“After a spirited fight in the ICU, Lion ascended to heaven in the presence of his Mum, Dad, uncles, and aunties.“
The tragedy has shaken Lion Deh and his family to their core. Through tears, he expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from colleagues, friends, and fans.

A memorial service was held at Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday 10, 2025 to celebrate the brief but beautiful life of Lion Deh’s son, whose light will forever remain in their hearts.
