Super Metro speaks out after tout throws passenger from moving bus over Sh30 fare dispute

Super Metro Sacco on Wednesday, March 12 suspended crew members of one of its vehicles after a tout allegedly threw a man out of a moving bus after a disagreement over fare.

In a statement, Super Metro expressed their profound regret and extended their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the man, who tragically lost his life after being thrown from the bus. Reports indicate he died on the spot.

“We understand the anger of the public, and it is entirely justified. No one should ever lose their life in such a senseless and horrific way,” Super Metro stated.

“At Super Metro, the sanctity of human life is a fundamental value that guides everything we do.”

The company assured the public that they take the safety of their passengers very seriously and vowed full cooperation with authorities in the investigation to ensure that justice is served.

“We do not condone reckless behavior, and we will work hand in hand with the authorities to ensure that justice is served.

Moving forward, we are reinforcing strict safety protocols and comprehensive training to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again,” they affirmed.

The incident unfolded in Kahawa Wendani, where a disagreement over fare led to a disturbing act. The tout insisted the fare was KSh80, while the passenger claimed he only had KSh50.

The ensuing argument reportedly enraged the tout, who then opened the door of the moving bus and threw the man out.

The victim tragically died on the spot, with an autopsy revealing that he suffered multiple fractures, including broken ribs, arms, and legs.

This senseless loss of life has left the community reeling, with many demanding justice for the victim.
