Terence Creative: Being kept by a woman is not a bad thing

Kenyan comedian and content creator Terence Creative has sparked discussion after sharing his thoughts on Alma Mutheu’s recent frustrations about financially supporting her boyfriend, Gift.

The comedian, known for his relatable humor and openness, encouraged women to stand by their men during tough times rather than publicly embarrassing them.

“Being Kept By A Woman Is Not A Bad Thing,” says Terence Creative

Responding to Alma Mutheu’s viral post, Terence emphasized that there’s nothing wrong with a woman supporting her partner when he’s not financially stable.

He shared how Milly, then his girlfriend, covered nearly all their expenses in the early stages of their relationship.

According to Terence, men experience different phases in life, and financial struggles are temporary. He urged women to support their partners and treat them with respect during difficult times.

“There’s no problem with a boyfriend being supported by his girlfriend. Ladies, if your man isn’t financially stable and you are, support him and respect him until he gets on his feet. Let him manage the household finances as the head of the family. Don’t embarrass him in public.”

Milly Chebby Covered Nearly All Their Bills

Terence Creative went on to reveal that during their dating years, Milly paid almost all of their bills, taking on 98.9% of their financial responsibilities. He was open about this and credited Milly’s unwavering support as a key factor in his success today.

“For over four years, my then-girlfriend, now wife of 11 years, Milly Chebby, used to pay 98.9% of all our bills,” Terence shared.

He also advised women to refrain from airing their grievances online, as such public confrontations can humiliate men and strain relationships.

Instead, he encouraged women to remain patient, giving their partners time to grow and reach financial stability.

Looking At The Bigger Picture

Terence urged women to see the bigger picture, emphasizing that the sacrifices made early in a relationship can pay off once a man becomes stable enough to provide for the family.

He reminded women that financial struggles are temporary, and with time and support, men will eventually overcome these challenges.

“Wacheni kuanika waume zenu, ipo siku watakuwa stable na watawaweka. Kwa sasa mvumilie na yeye ajitume,” he advised, which translates to, “Stop exposing your husbands, one day they will be stable and take care of you. For now, be patient and allow him to grow.”
